You can enrol your child any time during the year however a place may not be available.
Enrolment Priorities
Peter Pan Preschool will be enrolling children 2 days per week based on the Department of Education requirements below and for children who live in the Rathmines to Myuna Bay area first. All children who live outside this area may be offered places after all local 4 year olds have been offered places. Please note we will not be enrolling children for 1 day or 3 or more days per week.
As per DECs funding conditions, priorities for enrolments will be as follows:
Priority of Access
Children who are at least 4 years old on or before the 31 July in that preschool year and not enrolled or registered at a school
Children who are at least 3 years old on or before 31 July in that preschool year and are:
Children from low income families
Children with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background
Children with disability or additional needs
Children with English language needs
Children who are at risk of significant harm (from a child protection perspective).
This priority is in accordance with the Dept of Education and Communities funding agreement.
The NSW Parliament has passed a Bill to amend the Public Health Act to strengthen vaccination enrolment requirements in early childhood education and care. From 1st January 2018 Peter Pan Preschool will NOT BE ABLE TO ENROL children who are unvaccinated due to their parent’s conscientious objection.

Visiting our Centre
You are most welcome to come to the preschool for a look around. Our preferred time is on a sunny day between 9.30-10.30am. This is when our children are outside playing in our wonderful outdoor space. Your child will be able to have a play on our swings, slide or many other areas in our yard.
Mid-Year Enrolments
You are welcome to enquire about positions your child at any point during the year. If we have a position available you will be able to complete an online enrolment..
Orientation Day
In September - October each year the centre has an orientation day for children who will be attending preschool the following year. Here you will meet the staff, view the centre and your child can have a play.
If we have any vacancies available throughout the year we will give you a call. If we cannot find a place for your child we will be in contact with families on our waiting list from August for children who will be 4 on or before 31st July the year of enrolment. Children who are 3 turning 4 from 1st August will be contacted if we have any remaining preschool vacancies. Due to high demand some children who turn 4 after 31st July in the year of enrolment may not receive a place until the following year.
